So life has been crazy hectic and I havnt had too much time to blog. The family has been sick with pneumonia and bronchiolitis. No fun. Everyone is much better now. I somehow managed to stay well but as we all know, Moms are to take care of everyone. I feel quite guilty for how I was with my husband. As we all know men can become total babies when they are even the tiniest bit ill. Ill for them is like a 99 degree fever. Can we say cry babies. Now my husband missed Mondays work and went to work the rest of the week until Friday where I made him go to the Drs to get antibiotics for a sinus infection. We take him to the Dr and find out both him and a kid both have pneumonia now. UGH are you kidding me! They are finally on the mend and feeling well. Needless to say I felt bad for making him help me with stuff while he had a "sinus infection."
I have lost 4 lbs since I have started my diet. I am not too happy about this. My goal was 8. 2lb a week. I am going into high gear this month though. My goal is 6 lb. I acknowledge I will gain because I will be building more muscle as well. I want all my prepregnancy jeans to fit! My major problem with that is my tummy and these lovely love handles I have gotten from this past pregnancy.
Ladies, I dont care who you are. Love handles are NOT cute! When you wear your pants with a skin tight shirt and a tight belt to make those jeans fit you need to exercise. It is not cute. At least wear clothes that flatter you! I know at home I dont care as much, but when I go out I like to wear clothes that flatter me. Let me tell you this, I will be wearing a bikini this summer! Wahoo. Don't hate, I will look hot. This girl right here is and will remain a total milf. Now just to get my hot stomach back.
Anyways my other kid is sick today. I'm not sure what the deal is. So today is a lazy day until the husband returns home. Once he gets home its chores and a hardcore workout! Its game on!

Shopping!
So we went grocery shopping at aldis and picked up some veggies. Broccoli and cauliflower. Some active snacks with real berries for the boys and turkey bacon. YUM turkey bacon <3 Hit up Walmart, had to go to the toy isle of course. Bought some megablocks for 7, holy sale. Got whole carrots for $1! One freakin dollar for a big bag of carrots. Got some oranges, celery and bananas. Satisfied. Also we got some light vanilla yogurt and oats. The husband even picked up tuna. I thought hell froze over! :) Haha Im so excited that every one is doing this with me. It makes me feel good! I didnt get the workout in, but I did get so much accomplished!!I am so excited! However, because we took forever to go grocery shopping for all our health foods we did hit up mcdonalds. haha its that DV in us. I ate less than half of my meal. Yay me. I also stayed under my calorie limit! Even though today was a chocolate day. Pms gets the best of me. oo.
So, it seems a lot of the people are turning paleo in my biggest loser group. Though it seems more like they are doing it for a fad, not because they want to change their lifestlye. I dont know though. I could be totally wrong, but thats what it looks like. I however, will never become paleo. Just not for me. I diet and exercise my way with my rules :) I don't have to cut out everything I enjoy, because quite frankly I enjoy it. I hope that didn't sound snobby, because that's not me. I'm just saying I'm gonna keep doing me and I ain't doing something just because everyone else is doing it. :)

Goals and WHY
New year, new me. Well, I'm finding the old me. I'm not just Mom I am me as well and I realize I have been ignoring me for too long. I am doing this for me. I repeat, I am doing this for myself. No ONE else! So I will succeed. I am working on becoming a better person, mother and wife. I am eating healthier and making it a priority to exercise more. Not just running around with the kids, but doing the stuff I need to do to make myself look and FEEL better. I have started tanning to get rid of my "paleness" haha it is sad when gingers are darker then you. I am working on conditioning my body and getting better endurance. Gotta get military fit :) why? because that is a goal for 2012 as well :) get my ass back in the service. I am ready to rock my business this year as well!
I am excited about these changes. I am very lucky to have very supportive family and friends that are aiding me along the way.
I feel like this should be longer. Though it is sufficient.

Day 3 and 4
I did not have time to blog yesterday, I caught up with a friend :)
I started doing jacks and squats. I was to do 5 reps of 10 each. I did 2. ugh! I had D doing them with me. We got side tracked and ended up dancing instead. Hey still exercise right? I did fairly well with my calories... I had a lot on my mind n forgot to eat. However I did get enough.
Today I did good with my calories, but I coulda had a few more. I didnt though :) wahoo no reeses or pb n j.
I went tanning again and am starting to feel good about myself again. Which is why i am doing this! I feel like i should fgure out all my goals. A blog will soon be posted.

Day 2
I did fairly well. I just used portion control. It was the hubs last day of vacation and we got a pizza. No big if you don't pig out on it. I am starting a new diet that I came up with today. I also started making a workout routine. I will admit I didnt workout today, but we played out in the SNOW! finally snowed :) I am becoming more active but taking it a step at a time. I want to make it gradual and not a chore. :) wish me luck tomorrow. its a zumba day! I love zumba, though it totally kicks my ass :)
Beyond diet

this is what is good for you:
rice and spelt bread
sweet pot with butter n cinn
all fruits n veggies
good fats:
real butter
whole eggs
coconut oil
olive oil
ovacodios
raw nuts
STAY WITH FOODS THAT ONLY HAVE ONE INGREDIENT! steak, eggs, rice, coconut oil, sweet potatoes, fruits and veggies, bacon, the "right " bread, trail mix
Bad fats :
margarine, canola oil,hydrogenated oils, substitute fake butter
Stay away from sugar, processed foods, artificial sweeteners, high fructose corn syrup, processed soy products, granola, orange juice, whole wheat bread, healthy cereals,
IF YOU EAT ALL THE RIGHT FOODS, YOU CAN EAT A LOT!
FACT: PEOPLE USUALLY DONT GET ENOUGH CALORIES AND CRASH DIET :/
Foods I aim to try:

homemade ranch dip (organic)
marinated flat iron steak with peppers

Day 1
So I failed. I totally failed. There is no excuse I didn't try. I am 100% okay with that however. My brother and sister-in-law (well future) came over. We had Red Lobster. I ate a pound and a half of juicy snow crab :) it was fabulous! Later we enjoyed chocolate fondue and then cheese fondue. I would totally go into details about what I dipped into it, but I don't want to sidetrack those who are doing great.
I'm NOT being like "well I don't care" or sucking at day 1. It was my choice to ignore my diet and resolution today. Instead I spent the day with family and enjoyed it. For those of you that don't know, my brother is moving across the country due to to being in the military. So I wouldn't see him for quite some time. :(
By the way, I never realized how hard it would be to say goodbye. Haha oh big brother we will miss you. God bless and stay safe!
I will note, I am bummed that today was not dedicated to myself and the start of something amazing.

The Biggest Loser
So I am starting the biggest loser compitition. I'm like "count me in!" Now that I think of it... Really? I have to eat healthy and exercise all the time! Blah! I don't know why but if feels like such a chore. I am game to losing weight and just getting leaner. I just don't want all the hassle. Luckily my family is on board. well kind of. :)
I am SO excited to start doing this! Freakin' PUMPED! I am ready to be the best me possible. I want to wear that cute bikini again. Ok, well after two huge babies I don't know that that's quite possible. whatever, I am still going to do me. I am going to be fit again. Freakin' Hot! I can't wait.. I LOVE feeling AMAZING about myself and this is one way that makes me feel great. I don't care whether you like my body, I care that I LOVE my body. It is mine and no one else's. Well, maybe my husbands. :)
